Welcome to Herrnhuter Academy Nursery, Primary and Secondary School
Herrnhuter Academy School is found in Zanzibar, Urban West Region, West A District, situated at Mwera street, few meters away from Mwera-Mahakamani bus stand.
A school offers secular education to children basing on their religions, backgrounds and gender. Herrnhuter academy offers education free of charge to orphans and children living in vulnerable environments through HMH sponsorship and others pay fees for themselves.
Our school is one of the best performing schools and centers of education inside Zanzibar. A school have three levels, kindergarten, primary and secondary school.
Our Programs
Herrnhuter academy school offers early childhood education in kindergarten for two years,
elementary education from grade 1-7 and secondary education from form 1-4.
Kindergarten Programmes
The school takes responsibility to nurture children from the age of 4 years basing on writing, counting and reading skills. Through every day programmes, children develop skills and build a solid knowledge base of the existing domain. Children are also subjected to music and art. The lessons take part from 8:00 A.M to 12:00 P.M daily.
Elementary (Primary) School
The programme is focused to emphasize academic development, creativity and collaborative oriented activities as well as communication skills. Children get to know their critical thinking and gain their deeper understanding of their own morality as well as ways they can make a difference in the world by serving others.
Secondary School Programmes
In this level the children who qualifies to be registered for this level are admitted from our school as well other schools inside and outside Zanzibar. The school is well equipped to support the development of students for fruitful futures of theirs. The school have two (2) modern laboratories with good equipment which facilitate the development our student’s cognitive ability and understanding of the world widely.
